DEATH INVESTIGATION

On 07/04/21 at approximately 9:35am the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a person in the Fall Creek area had been shot.  Paramedics arrived on scene and advised that the patient had died.  During the course of the investigation 27 year old Gregory Clement was determined to be responsible for the shot that was fired.  He was taken into custody and lodged at the Lane County Jail on the charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  The investigation into this incident continues and charges are to be reviewed by the Lane County District Attorney’s Office.  There is no ongoing threat to the community.
