RIDDLE MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE VS. VEHICLE CRASH MONDAY

RIDDLE, Ore. - A 25 year-old Riddle man died in a two vehicle crash on Monday.
On Monday, July 5, 2021, at approximately 8:15 p.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received reports of a two vehicle crash in the 3700-block of Canyonville-Riddle Road near Riddle.
Deputies arrived on scene to discover a Harley Davidson motorcycle which had struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Harley Davidson had been traveling east on Canyonville-Riddle Road when it collided with the Jeep. The operator of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
EMS and fire crews attempted lifesaving efforts, which were unsuccessful. The motorcycle operator, 25 year-old Terance Thy Cowan of Riddle was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Jeep, 26 year-old Brandon Hogue of Canyonville is fully cooperating with law enforcement.
The investigation is ongoing, although speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
