Rest in Peace K-9 Rolo

Law enforcement officers and K-9 handlers from several area agencies gathered outside Heavenly Wings east of Salem to pay tribute to retired Marion County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Rolo who was laid to rest yesterday. K-9 Rolo retired in August of 2018 after nearly 7 years of service and 590 field deployments. During his time with the Sheriff’s Office, K-9 Rolo and his handler received numerous commendations and was a recipient of the Medal of Valor. In retirement, K-9 Rolo continued to live with his handler and family until he passed away at home yesterday evening. We are proud to have had the privilege to honor Rolo’s dedicated service to the people of Marion County.
