Dog Hit By Train

On 02/06/2023, at about 6:30pm, officers with the Roseburg Police Department responded to the area of Gaddis Park for the report of dog that had been seriously injured.  The nature of the initial call sounded sinister, but through a thorough investigation it was learned the dog had been run over by a passing train.

The owner of the dog was located and the dog was taken to Bailey Veterinary Clinic.

Local law enforcement agencies have been inundated with inquiries about this incident and we wanted to clarify this was NOT an act of animal abuse, but an unfortunate accident.
