Man caught on trail camera trespassing on property has a search warrant served on his residence and is arrested on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and criminal trespass II
On November 26th, 2023, the Sunset Bay Golf Course owner located at 89515 Cape Arago Hwy contacted the Coos County Sheriff’s Office to report his trail camera took an image of an armed trespasser on his property.
Sgt. A. Slater conducted an investigation, leading him to apply for a search warrant to search the property at 91061 Cape Arago Hwy. The warrant was granted and subsequently executed by the Coos County Emergency Response Team (ERT) on December 8th at 6:30 a.m.
The suspect, who had previously trespassed armed, was identified as James H. Green (65) of Charleston. Mr. Green was questioned, and (4) firearms were seized from his residence, including the rifle Mr. Green was in possession of on November 26th.
James H. Green (65) was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked on charges of Criminal Trespass II and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
