BOY, 11, MISSING FROM HOME IN HUMBOLDT NEIGHBORHOOD

Portland Police Bureau The Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help looking for an 11-year-old runaway in the Humboldt Neighborhood. Iveon Barnes left home in the 5100 block of North Haight Avenue at about midnight and has not been seen all day. He has a history of running away, but youth and small size increases the concern for his safety. Additionally, he has recently displayed suicidal ideations. Previous times he has run away he has been found near Dawson Park. Officer checked the park this evening and did not find him there. He has no phone, no money, and not familiar with Tri-Met. Iveon is an African American male, 11 years old, 5'5", 70lbs, short black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing red and white Minecraft shirt and grey shorts that look like pajamas. SEARCH WARRANT SHUTS DOWN CRIMINAL MARIJUANA OPERATION IN YONCALLA

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office YONCALLA, Ore.  – A large scale criminal marijuana grow operating under the guise of a legal hemp operation has been shut down by law enforcement in Douglas County. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) executed a search warrant in the 1000-block of Scotts Valley Road Wednesday, September 1, 2021. The warrant stemmed from an investigation into a large-scale black-market marijuana grow. Law enforcement became aware of the operation on tips from concerned citizens. When law enforcement arrived approximately 30-50 workers began fleeing the location on foot. An individual identified as “the manager” of the operation, 44-year-old Jose Francisco Figueroa-Aguilar of Modesto, California, was ultimately arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Unlawful Possession and Unlawful Manufacture of Marijuana. Woman Arrested for Selling Fake Gold Bars

Eugene Police Department   Eugene Police Special Investigations Unit detectives have arrested Amanda Laine Bryant, 37, of Waldport, Oregon, for Aggravated Theft in the First Degree -By Deception, in a case involving the sale of fake gold bars to a Eugene man. On July 2, a Eugene man in his 40s, reported to the Lincoln City Police Department that he had purchased some gold bars earlier in the year in Lincoln City for approximately $18,000 in cash from Bryant. A short time after he purchased the ‘gold,’ he took them to a pawn shop where he found they were worthless metal, gold stamped in a dye.  Between June and August 2021, Bryant contacted the victim on numerous occasions to sell more “gold bars,” and on August 25, 2021, an SIU detective opened an investigation in the Eugene area regarding Bryant. Jackson County Sheriff's Office JCSO Case #21-4568 & #21-4617 JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team (IMET) detectives served multiple search warrants on two black-market marijuana grow sites in as many days. Combined, the raids uncovered 15-thousand lbs. of processed illegal marijuana, more than 20-thousand plants yet to be cultivated, five firearms, and nearly $650,000 in cash. Overall, three warrants were served, and one suspect has been arrested. During the raids on both properties, 111 workers were taken into custody, interviewed, and released.  IMET is a multi-agency task force funded by a grant from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission. The task force includes personnel from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Medford Police Department, and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office. HOUSTON HOMICIDE SUSPECT ARRESTED IN GRESHAM

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.— In late August, detectives from the Houston Police Department requested assistance from Gresham Police related to the murder of, 20-year-old, Shawtyeria Waites, of New Mexico. Information provided by Houston Police suggested that the suspect, 27-year-old, Jordan Potts, was hiding in the Gresham area. Gresham Police Detectives determined that Mr. Potts was staying at a local apartment complex and conducted surveillance. After confirming that Mr. Potts was inside the apartment, the department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit was activated. Mr. Potts was later taken into custody without incident and is being held on a warrant out of Harris County, Texas.       

THIRD ARREST MADE IN MURDER INVESTIGATION

Sheriff's Office DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -  Detectives have arrested a third suspect in the murder of a Camas Valley man.   On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, deputies contacted 40-year-old Dustan Allan Conn of Roseburg at a business on Garden Valley Boulevard. Conn had been identified as a person of interest in the murder investigation of 41-year-old James Leroy Hood of Camas Valley. Detectives responded and spoke with Conn, who was later arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail for Murder in the Second Degree.   Two other suspects, 35-year-old Ashley Tyshanne Reynolds of Roseburg and 33-year-old William Levi McClure of Winston were previously arrested and charged in connection to the murder.   Douglas County Sheriff's Office Detectives began investigating Hood’s disappearance on Monday, August 16, 2021 when family members reported not hearing from him since March 11, 2021.    Detectives conducted interviews and learned that Hood had been murdered in a barn on Ral

ILLEGAL MARIJUANA GROW INVESTIGATION ALBANY POLICE CASE # 21-4475

Albany Police On August 26, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., the Linn Interagency Narcotics Enforcement (LINE) team executed two search warrants at neighboring properties at 39030 and 39038 Griggs Drive Lebanon, Oregon.  These search warrants were the culmination of a month-long investigation into two large scale illegal outdoor marijuana grows.  LINE became aware of these grows thanks to alert and concerned citizens. During the execution of search warrants, LINE Investigators were assisted by members of the Albany Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Lebanon Police Department, and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. In total LINE seized approximately 1400 pounds of processed marijuana, 9116 marijuana plants, 12 firearms, $6,001 dollars in US currency, and made 14 arrests to date.  The illegal marijuana grow consisted of 61 large green house structures which were destroyed on site. STABBING INVESTIGATION

Roseburg Police Dept. On September 1, 2021 at approximately 12:39 AM, the Roseburg Police Department responded to the area of the Duck Pond at 1039 NW Garden Valley Blvd. regarding a reported stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a 29 year old Roseburg man was injured due to a stab wound. The injured male was transported to Mercy Medical Center and later transferred to Emmanuel Legacy Medical Center in Portland, Oregon for further treatment. A suspect in this case, a 28 year old Roseburg man, was identified and contacted by law enforcement. Investigators found the victim and suspect know each other. Roseburg Police Detectives responded to assist and are continuing to investigate the matter along with assistance from the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office. At this time, there is no known ongoing threat to the general public.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATES ASSAULT OF BABY

Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports on Saturday, August 28, 10:17 p.m., dispatch received the report of a 3-month-old baby with injuries at the Lebanon Community Hospital. The baby was transported to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital where further examination confirmed broken bones to include fractures to the skull and ribs.  Deputies and detectives responded to the scene and investigated the cause of the injuries throughout the following days. Detectives conducted multiple interviews to include the father Gabriel Hess, 23, of Lebanon, who admitted to causing the injuries.  Hess was lodged at the Linn County Jail where he faces charges of Assault I.  Anyone with further information related to the investigation is encouraged to call Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 541-967-3950. 

DEPUTY INVOLVED SHOOTING

Lincoln County Sheriff's Office On September 1, 2021, at about 7:33 am, Willamette Valley Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call of an armed person walking around with a rifle in the area of 82nd Street and SW Abalone, South Beach, Oregon.   Deputies arrived at about 7:51 am and encountered a subject with a rifle.   Deputies repeatedly told the subject to drop the rifle.  The subject pointed the rifle at the deputies and a deputy shot the subject.  The subject is being treated for his injuries and was life flighted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.   The Lincoln County Major Crime Team was called to investigate, and the Oregon State Police is the lead agency over the investigation.  The investigation into the incident is on-going. The names of the deputies and the involved individual will be released and a later time, along with further information regarding the investigation, in coordination with the Oregon State Police and Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.   On August 19 th , Governor Kate Brown issued a mandate that all healthcare workers in Oregon, including first responders, be vaccinated or face termination. Douglas County Professional Firefighters Local 2091 adamantly disagrees with forced vaccinations and defends our member's “right to choose” when it comes to personal medical decisions. No one is more keenly aware of the risks, or had more direct experience with Covid-19 than the men and women in the medical field; particularly in emergency services.      Douglas County Professional Firefighters have had ample opportunity to receive the vaccination, to include hosting one of the first drive-through clinics available to the county. We trust any member who is not vaccinated at this point to have thoughtfully and thoroughly considered all aspects, and we should respect their decision. Skyline Ridge Complex Update

Douglas Forest Protective Association Fire officials with the Douglas Forest Protective Association and the Bureau of Land Management have declared the Skyline Ridge Complex 100% contained as of Monday, August 30th.  With full containment on the incident being reached, all 19 fires within the complex will be moved to a patrol status. DFPA crews will continue to monitor the fires for the remainder of fire season with both aviation and ground resources, in addition to utilizing fire detection cameras. Smoke from the interior portions of the Poole Creek Fire may be visible until the fall rains return to the area. This smoke is being produced by smoldering materials and small pockets of previously unburned fuels within the interior portions of the fire. These smokes are being monitored by fire crews but pose little to no threat to containment lines. FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH LORANE HWY NEAR SARVIS BERRY LN

Sheriff's Office On 08/30/2021 at about 1751 hours the Lane County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle traffic crash on Lorane Hwy near Sarvis Berry Ln.  Two persons in one vehicle were pronounced deceased on the scene.  The driver and solo occupant of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital by ambulance.  This is an ongoing investigation.

FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

Roseburg Police Dept. On Friday, August 27, 2021 at approximately 9:32 P.M. The Roseburg Police Department and Roseburg Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision at NE Stephens and NE Garden Valley. The investigation into the incident found that a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, attempted to turn Westbound onto Garden Valley from Stephens against an alleged red light, in front of a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound on NE Stephens. The vehicles collided inside the intersection. The rider of the motorcycle, Ryan James Gould (35) of Roseburg, was reportedly unresponsive following the collision, and CPR efforts were made by a citizen and the Fire Department. Gould was transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Tacoma was identified as Adrienne Michelle Mathis (35) of Roseburg. The investigation is ongoing, but at this time there are no indications that impairment was a factor in the

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office GLENDALE, Ore.  - The search for a missing Ashland, Oreogn man has come to a close after searchers found his body on Saturday.  Search and Rescue crews continued their search for Trevor Watson on Saturday, August 30, 2021, searching a larger area where he was last seen. Crews located Watson's body in a creek bed around 10:00 a.m. The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting a death investigation, although foul play is not suspected at this time.  The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Trevor.  No further information is expected to be released.
