Grants Pass Police Department The Grants Pass Police Department is asking for help in locating a missing elderly male. John Toney, a 90-year old male, was expected to pick up a family member today at the Medford Airport. He did not show up at the airport and his phone was last tracked to White City this afternoon.   John is described at 5 foot 7, 320 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last believed to be driving a silver 2014 Toyota RAV4 SUV with license plate 963GXP.   if you see John, please call the Grants Pass Police at 541-450-6260.

OREGON CITY POLICE SERVE SEARCH WARRANT AT SUSPECTED DRUG HOUSE

Oregon City Police Dept. Oregon City Police Officers with the Special Investigation Team served a search warrant related to a narcotics investigation in the 20000 block of Highway 213 this morning.  The warrant was served with assistance from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office interagency SWAT Team. Significant amounts of cash and drugs suspected to be fentanyl and methamphetamine were located during the search, as well as evidence of drug trafficking.  Seven individuals were arrested, and their charges range from arrest warrants to Frequenting a Place Where Controlled Substances are Used (ORS 167.222). More charges are expected as the investigation continues. The arrested individuals are: 25-year-old Tyler Thommen 28-year-old Benjamin Rounds 32-year-old Randall Rich 27-year-old Kadee Atkinson 21-year-old Jesse Bradley 31-year-old Greg Low 54-year-old Paul Bernard   If you have information about drug trafficking in Oregon City, please email tips to  ocpdsit@orcity.org              

PPB, OSP MAKE ARRESTS AND SEIZE DRUGS DURING MULTI-AGENCY MISSION

Portland Police Bureau On the evening of Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Central NRT Bike Squad and Oregon State Police (OSP), as part of an on-going collaborative partnership at the direction of Governor Tina Kotek, conducted a counter fentanyl-dealing mission in Downtown Portland’s city center. Seven state troopers on mountain bikes, patrol troopers and undercover OSP detectives from the Drug Enforcement Section worked with four PPB bike officers to arrest eight people for either delivery of fentanyl or possession of fentanyl. Law enforcement also seized suspected fentanyl pills and powder and recovered three illegally-possessed handguns over the course of one night. “Collaborative patrols between PPB and OSP are having some success. We remain committed to supporting our partners at PPB and helping in their efforts to bring a sense of safety to the downtown core by disrupting and deterring dangerous criminal actions and working to break the deadly grasp of fentanyl in our communitie

MCSO DEPUTIES ARREST RECKLESS DRIVER WHO ELUDED, DROVE DANGEROUSLY THROUGH MULTIPLE COMMUNITIES

Multnomah Co. Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, around 6 p.m., a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputy, who was investigating a shots fired call in the Larch Mountain area east of Corbett, attempted to make an investigatory contact with a person who was acting suspicious. After refusing to engage with the deputy, the man got in his vehicle and drove away westbound down E Larch Mountain Road in a reckless manner. The deputy followed behind the man’s Ford Escort and observed him cross the center line. When the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, the man did not pull over and eluded the deputy. The deputy did not pursue the Ford Escort, but radioed the vehicle’s description and the direction it was last seen traveling to other patrol units. FATAL CRASH - INTERSTATE 84 - MULTNOMAH COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Monday, October 16, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84, near milepost 38, in Multnomah County.   The preliminary investigation indicated a Toyota Prius, operated by Jamal Haji Hassan Kimo (44) of Keizer, was westbound when it began to hydroplane on standing water on the roadway.  The Toyota struck the northern guardrail of the interstate and reentered the westbound lanes of travel.  The Toyota entered the path of a westbound Freightliner (commercial motor vehicle) and trailer, operated by Angelo Cappello (63) of Bangor (ME), and was struck on the drivers' side door.   The operator of the Toyota (Kimo) was declared deceased at the scene.   The operator of the Freightliner (Cappello) was not injured.   The highway was impacted for approximately 30 minutes during the on-scene investigation.   OSP was assisted by Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and ODOT.                  Click Here To Download Our

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE IN GREEN DISTRICT, ARREST MADE

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore . - Detectives are investigating a homicide which occurred in the Green District late Monday night. On Monday, October 16, 2023, shortly after 11:00 p.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a male lying in a driveway who appeared to be deceased in the 100-block of Speedway Road in the Green District. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the male to be deceased as a result of a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Ronnie Keith James Crabtree of Roseburg. During the course of the investigation, evidence was developed which led to the apprehension and arrest of 24-year-old Jacob Taylor Robinson of Winston. Robinson was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on Second Degree Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. There is no ongoing threat to the public. Just another day on duty for Coos County Patrol Deputies at Eel Creek Campground

Coos County Sheriff's Office October 16 th , 2023, around 9:48 pm; Responding to a report made to Coos County Dispatch for a suspicious vehicle and trespassing, Deputy Z. Smith encountered Jeffery Ross siphoning gasoline from a stolen Ford pick-up truck. Running the license plates revealed a mismatch with the vehicle, and further investigation confirmed that the truck had been reported stolen from the city of Reedsport. Ross was apprehended and detained in the back of Deputy Z. Smith's patrol vehicle. But the story doesn't end there. As Deputy Z. Smith was on scene, another vehicle pulled up, driven by Fredrick Thom, who had a suspended driving status and active warrants for his arrest out of Douglas County. Thom was promptly taken into custody.  Deputies M. R. Smith and Sattler arrived to assist and discovered another occupant in the vehicle who was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl. Four Wrecks In Josephine County In A hour And A Half

Rural Metro Fire - Josephine County Four wrecks in 1.5 hours had northern Josephine County rescue teams scrambling this afternoon.  The most-significant crash that challenged crews occurred on Interstate 5 near the Merlin Exit (MP 60). (MERLIN) -- For reasons being investigated by Oregon State Police, a red sedan crashed into the side of a semi truck at a significant speed near MP 60.  The semi truck driver was not injured, but the sedan driver and passenger sustained various injuries.  The passenger was found entrapped in the vehicle upon arrival of Rural Metro Fire, AMR-Josephine County and Grants Pass Fire.  Firefighters were challenged with the delicate task of removing the vehicle from around the patient. At one point, a heavy wrecker from Caveman Towing was called in to prepare for lifting the semi off the sedan, as well as an Oregon Department of Transportation unit to pull it out from underneath.
