Tigard Police   A man was stabbed in Tigard Tuesday morning, leading to a large search for the suspect.   At 7:14 AM, a person called 911 to report the stabbing, which investigators believe happened in an area behind a row of businesses on SW Cascade Ave south of SW Scholls Ferry Road, near railroad tracks. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that are believed to be serious.   Several officers responded to the scene, including a K-9 handler and drone operators. The area next to the railroad tracks also has several encampments and a creek running through it. Officer searched in the marshy, wooded area for hours searching for the suspect or any evidence that may be connected to the investigation.   Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office On February 3 rd , 2026, at 3:29 am, Deputies with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 199 and Lone Mountain Road on a red GMC Sonoma pickup. The truck was not displaying a front license plate, and the rear license plate was partially obscured.     The driver, identified as Gavin Moore, was found to have a felony warrant for Distribution of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine). When Moore was told he was under arrest and to turn off the truck, he sped off and attempted to elude Deputies out Lone Mountain Road.   Moore continued to flee on gravel roads until he slid off the roadway. U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon PORTLAND, Ore.—A Warm Springs, Oregon, man was sentenced to federal prison today for sexually abusing two minors on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.   Harold Charley, 39, was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison and a lifetime term of supervised release.   According to court documents, in January 2024, Charley, a prior sex offender, engaged in sexual abusive contact with two minor victims between the ages of 12 and 16 over the course of several weeks on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.   On September 23, 2025, Charley was charged by superseding information with two counts of abusive sexual contact.   On October 7, 2025, Charley pleaded guilty to two counts of abusive sexual contact.   This case was investigated by the FBI with assistance from the Warm Springs Police Department. Medford Police Department  We are actively investigating a large, high-dollar theft that occurred during the early morning hours of January 19, 2026 , at the Medford School District 549C Facilities Yard. During this incident, a suspect broke out the rear window of a van and stole 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 $𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Surveillance video captured the suspect; however, their face was covered at the time of the theft. As part of the investigation, Medford Police Detectives distributed informational bulletins to ten south Medford markets and gas stations. On 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a Dakota Street resident contacted police after recognizing the suspect from a bulletin and provided additional information that led detectives to a residence. Coos County Sheriff's Office  On January 20th, 2026, at around 10:40pm, Coos County Deputies, along with officers from the Coquille Police Department, and the Myrtle Point Police Department, responded to the area of Arago Fishtrap Rd in Myrtle Point, to the report of a man that was screaming and breaking the windows of a house while wielding an axe.  North Coos Dispatch received numerous 911 calls from residents in the area regarding the axe wielding man as he went from house to house causing damage to property.  As a result of the investigation, it was discovered that the involved male, William Kite (48), had used an axe to damage numerous different residences and vehicles in the area. Kite was quickly located and arrested, and transported to the Coos County Jail.  On January 22nd, 2026, William Kite was indicted on the charges of: Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing (X3), and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (X5).  

Sweet Home Police Department  On February 3, 2026, at about 1:06 a.m. Sweet Home Police received a 911 call of a physical disturbance near the Foster Elementary School building.  The initial report indicated that one of the two subjects involved was being restrained on the ground.  As officers were responding, the caller stated that the male being restrained on the ground had gone unconscious and was not breathing.   Officers arrived to find 47-year-old Joe Parkins of Sweet Home not breathing and without a pulse.  Officers performed CPR on Mr. Parkins until relieved by members of the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District.  Emergency personnel continued life-saving efforts but were unable to revive Parkins.   Additional staff responded to the scene, including the Sweet Home Police Department detective.  The investigation revealed that Mr. Parkins was in a physical altercation with 49-year-old David Johnson of Sweet Home.  Mr. Johnso...

Coos County Sheriff's Office  On February 2, 2026, early in the morning, North Coos 911 got a call about a disturbance at a home near Highway 42 in Coquille. Deputies arrived and found one person had been shot. The first responders secured the area and tried to help the victim, but Bryce Randall, 25, of Myrtle Point, did not survive. An investigation showed a conflict had led to shots being fired by George Jones, 31, of Coquille, who was arrested and taken to jail later that morning. Marian County Sheriff's Office   Early this morning, members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team served arrest warrants in the area of 6th Street Northwest in Salem, resulting in the safe arrest of two suspects connected to a recent shooting investigation. Marion County Detectives arrested 20-year-old Alvaro Velasco-Crane Jr of Salem on the following charges: • Attempted Assault in the Second Degree • Unlawful Use of a Weapon • Possession of a Firearm • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm • Reckless Endangering • Criminal Mischief in the First Degree A second suspect, 20-year-old Edel Ivan Hernandez of Salem, was also arrested at another location in connection with this investigation. Salem Police Dept. On February 2, 2026, detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit made an arrest in connection with a suspicious death investigation, now deemed a homicide.     The investigation began on January 30, 2026, at a residence in the 4600 block of Dark Forest Place NE, when a woman, 70, of Salem, was found deceased under suspicious circumstances.     Aaron White, 43, of Salem, the son of the victim, was arrested and formally charged with Murder in the Second Degree. This marks the first murder case investigated by the Criminal Investigation Section in 2026.     Additionally, the second suspicious death investigation, in Wallace Marine Park, reported in the original media release, remains ongoing and no further details are available at this time. Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office   On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 2:05pm, Deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers from the Oregon State Police responded to the A-1 Market, located at 4203 Upper River Road, for a reported robbery. It was reported that an unknown male entered the store and grabbed several items off the shelves. The same male was in the store approximately one hour earlier with no money. The store clerk attempted to stop the male from leaving with the items when the suspect displayed a knife and held it to another customer that was inside of the store. The store employee feared for their life and opened the door, allowing the suspect to leave. No one was injured during these events. The suspect was last seen fleeing on Upper River Road.   Grants Pass Police Department On January 31, 2026, at about 11:42 p.m., the Grants Pass Police Department received a report of a gunshot in the 500 block of SE J Street.  Grants Pass Police Department officers immediately responded to the scene and confirmed a firearm had been discharged.  The officers conducted a safety search of the neighborhood and confirmed no one had been injured.     Grants Pass Police Detectives responded to the scene to assist with collecting evidence and interviewing persons.  Due to the seriousness of the crime, the detectives and patrol officers spent the next eleven hours in a manpower-intensive investigation.  At about 1:22 pm, a 15-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody.  He was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Endangering.   As the suspect is a juvenile, his name will not be released by our department....

Lincoln City Police Department  On Saturday, January 31st, 2026, Lincoln City Police Department Officers, including Police K9 Nato, responded to assist the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in establishing a perimeter around a residence on North Westview Drive in Otis, Oregon. LCSO Deputies relayed that they believed 27-year-old Billyray Branum, of Otis Oregon, was barricaded inside and refusing to come out. Branum had an active felony warrant related to a weapons offense. After an approximate 90 minute standoff Branum agreed to peacefully surrender and came out with his hands raised. He was taken into custody without violence. During a brief interview Branum acknowledged, “I really did not want to get bit.” He was lodged by LCSO Deputies on his warrants. Multnomah County Sheriff's Office MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. (MCSO) — A man accused of crashing into an occupied Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) patrol SUV is in custody. Neither MCSO deputy inside the patrol SUV were seriously injured. At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, dispatchers with the City of Portland’s Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) notified law enforcement over the radio that a car fled from Portland Police near Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast 148th Avenue. Two MCSO deputies, riding as a partner car, later saw the suspect’s vehicle. The deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver immediately took off. MCSO deputies did not pursue the car and put out the last known direction on the radio. PPB officers later found the car and deployed spike strips.   Clackamas County Sheriff's Office  On Thursday, January 29, 2026, detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Todd Koser, age 24, of Oak Grove on multiple counts of Rape in the First Degree, Strangulation, Assault in the Fourth Degree, and Menacing, along with additional counts of Providing Liquor to a Person Under 21 or to an Intoxicated Person and Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana.    During the investigation, detectives learned Koser met the adult female victim through the mobile dating application Tinder. Investigators believe he may have also used the dating application Pure.   Koser is being held in the Clackamas County Jail on a $500,000 bail. Salem Police Dept. SALEM, Ore. —  Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit and Felony Crimes Unit are investigating two separate unrelated suspicious death cases in Salem.     The first incident occurred on January 30, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., when officers responded to a residence in the 4600 block of Dark Forest Place NE and found a woman deceased.     The second incident took place later that day at approximately 6:31 p.m. near Wallace Marine Park, where a woman was found deceased under suspicious circumstances.     Both investigations are ongoing. At this time, the incidents appear unrelated and there is no ongoing threat to the public.     For further inquiries, please contact the Salem Police Communications Office.

Oregon State Police Douglas County, Ore. (Jan. 30, 2026)  - On Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 8:18 a.m., Oregon State Police and local law enforcement agencies responded to multiple 911 calls of a person discharging a firearm from a vehicle on Interstate 5, near milepost 128, in Douglas County.   The preliminary investigation indicated the suspect, now known as Charles Simmons (53) of Winston, was reportedly discharging a firearm from within his Dodge Ram pickup while traveling northbound on the interstate. The suspect reportedly contacted pedestrians, attempted to stop other motorists, and caused a non-injury crash with another vehicle while displaying and at times discharging a firearm.  The suspect was located by law enforcement and taken into custody. Washington Co. Sheriff's Office In December 2025, detectives with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit began an investigation when Vancouver Police Department detectives notified them of a sexual assault. The victim reported to the medical staff at a Vancouver hospital that the sexual assault took place in Washington County.   Detectives learned the male suspect messaged the victim through the social media app, Snapchat, and began inappropriate contact. The man convinced the victim to meet in-person, and so he drove to Vancouver, Washington, to pick them up. The suspect drove the victim to Cornelius, Oregon, on December 24, 2025, and sexually assaulted them. The child victim also reported that the man gave them alcohol, marijuana, and other intoxicants during the interaction. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office  At approximately 11:48 am, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a bank robbery at Columbia Bank in Depoe Bay, Oregon. Callers reported two armed adult males concealing their faces entered the bank and held staff at gun point, demanding access to the vault. Columbia Bank reported the two successfully obtained more than $50,000 in US currency before fleeing south on Highway 101 in a red sedan without license plates. The red suspect vehicle was abandoned at a vacant lot near NE Stanley and E. Collins Street in Depoe Bay. The vehicle was set on fire. The suspects were seen getting into a grey 4 door Toyota and left the area west as reported by a nearby resident. At approximately 12:51 pm, Newport Police spotted a grey Toyota Camry near Don Davis Park in Newport, Oregon. Witnesses reported seeing two men leave the grey Toyota Camry on foot. Jefferson County Sheriff Office     Yesterday (1/28/26), emergency responders from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Fire & EMS, and assisting agencies successfully rescued two juveniles who fell through the ice at the Jefferson County fishing pond at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, off SW Culver Highway.   At approximately 5:16 p.m., Jefferson County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting that two individuals, a 15-year-old and 16-year-old, had fallen through the ice and were submerged in the pond. Initial reports indicated the juveniles were trapped beneath the ice and unable to self-rescue.   First responders arrived within minutes and located the juveniles near the north end of the pond, toward the center. Both were partially submerged, calling for help, and reporting extreme cold, exhaustion, and loss of sensation.
