Ronald Bruce Jordan Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison in Child Sex Abuse Case

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On October 2, 2019, Judge Danielle Hunsaker sentenced Ronald Bruce Jordan to ten years in prison (120 months). Mr. Jordan previously pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sex abuse in a case prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Allison Brown. Forest Grove Police Detective Darren Pomeroy began investigating Mr. Jordan in February of 2019 after the teenage victim made a disclosure of abuse. She reported that Mr. Jordan began sexually abusing her when she was a young child and that the abuse continued for many years in multiple jurisdictions including areas of Washington County. Mr. Jordan was known to the victim. The victim eventually confronted Mr. Jordan. He admitted to treating her inappropriately and said he was ashamed and sorry for the way he acted. PEDESTRIAN INJURED DURING VEHICLE COLLISION

Roseburg Police Dept. On Thursday morning just after 0230 hours, Roseburg Police Officers responded to the report of a male lying in the roadway in the 1300 block of NE Stephens.  18 year old Roseburg resident, Isaiah Freeman was found with numerous injuries, which were determined to be caused when he was struck by a passing vehicle.  Freeman was transported to Mercy via ambulance where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  Freeman is expected to make a full recovery. A person of interest was identified in this incident and they were later contacted by Officers.  During the investigation a vehicle was seized for proccessing for potential evidence from the accident.  The investigation is ongoing.

Sisters Man Arrested After Hemp Farm Theft

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On October 1st, 2019, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a theft of industrial hemp from a farm in the 66000 block of Gist Rd, in an unincorporated area of Sisters, Oregon. The farmer reported finding a substantial amount of industrial hemp cut down and missing from his field. The cannabis crop comes in many different strains, or varietals. Many of those are bred into Marijuana and have high levels of THC, the psychoactive compound that causes impairment. Industrial hemp is not one of these; legally, industrial hemp is only permitted to have 0.3 percent THC at most. Although industrial hemp looks and smells like marijuana, the hemp plant is used for production of CDB oil and other industrial uses. DCSO Deputies conducted an investigation and identified 20 year old, Noah Gabriel Kirshner, of Sisters, Oregon, as the suspect in the crop theft. Large Takedown Targets Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization Operating in Oregon

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon PORTLAND, Ore.—A coordinated, multi-agency law enforcement operation was conducted today to dismantle a vast international drug trafficking organization that conspired to distribute methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine manufactured in Mexico throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area, announced Billy J. Williams, U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon. Federal search warrants were executed at 13 locations throughout the Portland area. Investigators seized 22 pounds of methamphetamine, four ounces of heroin, 11 ounces of cocaine and seven firearms and arrested 20 defendants. These defendants join 10 others who are already in custody on related state charges. Roseburg Man Wanted by Law Enforcement Arrested

Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - A Roseburg man who ran from law enforcement officers this afternoon is wanted by Winston Police Department.  32 year-old Michael Andrew Cordz is wanted in connection to the burglary of his ex-girlfriend's residence. Cordz has been making threats toward the female and is believed to be armed.  On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 10:55 am, deputies were called to a suspicious vehicle in the 5500-block of Roberts Creek Road. Deputies, along with officers from Winston Police Department, responded to the area and determined the vehicle belonged to Cordz. Cordz was in the vehicle and fled on foot from officers.  Deputies activated the reverse 9-1-1 system to notify area residents, who were asked to shelter in place and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.  Despite an extensive search of the area by multiple law enforcement officers, Cordz was unable to be found. Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On 9/28/19 at about 1217 Hours, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) Dispatch Center, received multiple 911 calls of a neighbor purposely flooding her two-story apartment. The apartment complex is located at 1100 Fruitdale Drive, in Grants Pass. Two apartments, one on each side of the flooding apartment had water coming through the walls and floor. The suspect who was flooding her apartment was known as Jennifer Richardson (39 years old). The GPDPS already had probable cause to arrest Richardson from an incident a few days prior of criminal mischief to a neighbor's vehicle. Multiple GPDPS police units responded to the scene. Richardson has made threats to assault officers and the public. It was well known an aggressive pitbull was in the apartment with Richardson who has also made threats to have the pitbull attack others. Busy Thursday Night for K9 Grim

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office K9 Grim assisted deputies twice in one night with the apprehension of two suspects.  Shortly before 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019, deputies received a tip that 23 year-old Christopher Binder of Glide had been spotted in the 200-block of Brown Street in Glide and had multiple active warrants for his arrest. Deputies and Oregon State Police Troopers arrived on scene along with K9 Grim. Grim began to track Binder from where he was last seen and eventually located him along the riverbank. Binder surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.  Binder was transported to the Douglas County Jail where he was lodged on the multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants.  Around 8:30 pm that same evening, deputies were called to a residence in the 8000-block of Highway 42 in Tenmile for a report of a male hiding in a residence who was violating a restraining order. TWO VEHICLE FATAL CRASH ON HWY 99 - JOSEPHINE COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Friday, September 27, 2019 at about 7:16 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle head on crash on Hwy 99 near mile post 3. Preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 2003 Audi, operated by Freddie Tillett (46) of Grants Pass, was traveling southbound on Hwy 99. Tillett was reported to be driving recklessly, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided head on with a northbound 2013 Nissan sedan operated by Brenda Reinert (39) of Grants Pass. Reinert was transported to the hospital were she was pronouced deceased. Tillett was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. OSP was assisted by Rural Metro and American Medical Response (AMR).

Officers Arrest Woman Chasing School Kids From Bus Stop

Portland Police Bureau On Friday, September 27, 2019 at 7:54a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of a woman chasing young people away from their school bus stop in the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Boise Street. Two officers working a partner car were in the area as the call was being dispatched and saw the suspect. They attempted to talked to her. She briefly ran from them but was quickly arrested. Officers determined that she had a barbecue-style lighter with which she had been chasing the children. Officers spoke with more than one student, but they believe other kids were chased away before they arrived. The young people were middle-school aged. There were no reported injuries. Officers arrested Maryann R. Vernieri (photo), 31, of Portland. She was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.

Man Arrested for Shooting at Hemp Farm

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office ROGUE RIVER, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies are investigating a shooting at a hemp farm just before noon on Friday.  One man is in custody and another is recovering from a single gunshot wound to the arm. On September 27, 2019, at 11:58 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a property in the 1200-block of Pine Grove Road, north of the city of Rogue River.  The caller reported that two people had been shot and were already on their way to the hospital in a private vehicle.  The suspect, identified as Jeremy Odell O’Patchen, 34, had fled on foot toward his residence in the 500-block of Minthorne Road. Responding deputies confirmed that only one person had been shot.  Russell Anthony Clark, 55, of Talent, received a gunshot wound to the arm that did not appear to be life-threatening.  Deputies attempted to locate O’Patchen with assistance from personnel from the Rogue River Police Department and Oreg
