Detectives Seeking Additional Victims After Former Softball Coach Arrested

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office On December 2, 2019, just before 6 a.m., detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 14300 block of NW Highway 47, just north of the city of Banks. The search warrant was related to an investigation into an inappropriate relationship between an adult and a minor. Detectives seized evidence from the location and arrested 22-year-old Madison D. Soper. Ms. Soper was previously a volunteer assistant softball coach at Banks High School for the 2016-2017 school year. Ms. Soper has been booked into the Washington County Jail on the following charges: Using a Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct Online Sexual Corruption of a Minor in the First Degree Luring a Minor Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree Her bail was set at $250,000. GPDPS seeking public's help in locating suspect

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On 12-02-19 at approximately 1605 hours, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety received a report of a sexual offense involving Scott Aaron Murphy.  Officers were provided with a video depicting Murphy engaging in a sexual act with a young child who was known to Murphy.  It is unknown at this time if there are additional victims.  Multiple officers later attempted to contact Murphy near a residence on SE N Street but he fled on foot.  An extensive search of the area was conducted but Murphy was not located.  His current whereabouts are unknown. The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is requesting assistance with locating and apprehending Murphy for multiple felony sex crimes involving a minor.  He has a history of drug and weapons offenses but it is unknown if Murphy is armed at this time.  The public is encouraged to not make contact with Murphy but immediately notify police in the event that his whereabouts are known.

Sammy Davison is Still Missing, Have Info?

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - Deputies are still seeking information as to the whereabouts of Samuel "Sammy" Elijah Davison. Davison was reported as missing person in September and hasn't been heard or seen since.  36 year-old Davison was last known to be in the Winchester area north of Roseburg on September 19th. It is believed he was possibly traveling to Wolf Creek area in Josephine County where he is known to frequent. The Sheriff's Office previously asked for assistance from the public, but his whereabouts remain unknown. Davison is described as 5'10'' tall weighing 190 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has several tattoos, which include "Davison" on his back and "Faith" on his chest. Sandy Police Request Public's Assistance Locating Missing Man

Sandy Police Dept. On 11-30-19, the Sandy Police Department received a report of a missing and possibly endangered Sandy resident. Marten Wells, age 68, was reported as missing by his family, and they reported that they had not heard from him since 11-13-19. He is suffering from a mental health issue, and may be in crisis from that issue. Investigators are requesting that anyone with any knowledge of Mr. Wells' whereabouts or have seen him since 11-13-19, please call 503-668-5566, the SPD Tip Line at  503-489-2195, or their local police and callers may remain anonymous.

Suspect Arrested after Robbing Partygoers of their Cell Phones

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office On Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 6:14 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance in the 17600 block of SW Declaration Way in Aloha. Several people attending a party at the location reported that a woman armed herself with a handgun and robbed them of their cell phones. Deputies investigated and learned that the suspect was 20-year-old Maria Guadalupe Guerrero. This afternoon, deputies received information that Ms. Guerrero was at a home in the 20300 block of SW Rachelle Court in Aloha. They were able to take her into custody at 1:54 p.m. Deputies and detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit later obtained a search warrant for the residence on SW Rachelle Court. Homicide in Newport

Newport Police Dept On November 27, 2019, Newport Police Officers were dispatched to the address of 811 SE 5th St. regarding a male subject who had been shot.  Upon arrival, Officers found a male deceased with an apparent gunshot wound.    The suspect, identified as Newport Resident Steven DeMAURO, 65 years of age, remained on scene.  Investigation revealed that DeMAURO shot the victim during an argument.  DeMAURO was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged for Murder II. The victim is identified as Newport resident Tony LARSEN, 59 years of age.  The criminal investigation is continuing.  The Lincoln County Major Crime Team (MCT) was activated and are currently investigating the incident. The MCT is composed of Detectives from the Lincoln City, Lincoln County Sheriff, Newport, Toledo and Oregon State Police Departments, as well as members of the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office. Fatal crash on Cordon Rd; Deputies investigating

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office At approximately 7:23 pm on November 29th, 2019, deputies were dispatched to the report of a head on collision on Cordon Road NE near Sunnyview RD NE. The crash involved a Ford F-350 and a Chevy passenger van. Three fatalities were reported as a result of the crash. At least three other occupants were transported to area hospitals for their injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation and identities are not being released pending notification of the next of kin. At this time Cordon Rd will be blocked at Sunnyview Rd and Swegle Rd. with the help of Marion County Public works until investigations are completed. At this time crews are hoping to have all roads opened by approximately 1 am. Marion County Deputies were assisted by Salem Police Department, Marion County Fire Department, Marion County Public Works and the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.

Tri-County Major Incident Team Activated for Deputy Involved Shooting in Bend

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office A deputy-involved shooting has occurred involving one of our deputies in the area of Robal Lane and Hunnell Road, at the north end of Bend.  The shooting occurred at 6:08 pm.  The Tri-County Major Incident Team is being called out to the scene. The adult male subject in this incident has been transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.  His condition is currently unknown. Our deputy was not injured. Any future information will be released by the DA’s Office and Major Incident Team. In accordance with our office's standard practice, one deputy at the scene will be placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Injury Vehicle Crash

Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 4:47 PM, 911 dispatchers received a report of a two vehicle roll-over crash on Garden Valley Road near Melrose Road in Roseburg.  When deputies arrived they learned a 2002 Chevy Malibu, driven by 59 year-old Roseburg resident Mary Frances O'Connell, attempted to make a left hand turn from Garden Valley Road onto Melrose Road. O'Connell had pulled into the path of an oncoming 2015 Jeep Wrangler driven by 20 year-old Luis Sanchez of Roseburg. The Jeep rolled several times before coming to rest in a dirt median. Sanchez and his passenger, 19 year-old Avry Kimmerle Hansen of Roseburg, were both critically injured in the crash and were transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment before being transferred to an out of the area hospital. O'Connell was also transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation.  The crash is still under investigation and deputies are seeki

Four Cave Junction Men Arrested for Murder in Connection to Structure Fire in January

Oregon State Police  On January 15, 2019 Oregon State Police and emergency workers responded to structure fire in Cave Junction where Donald Thomas was found deceased inside the residence.
