Four Cave Junction Men Arrested for Murder in Connection to Structure Fire in January

On January 15, 2019 Oregon State Police and emergency workers responded to structure fire in Cave Junction where Donald Thomas was found deceased inside the residence. As a result of the investigation, the following persons were arrested and lodged (at the Josephine County Jail):
  1. Justin Mason (age 29 from Cave Junction)
    • Felony Murder x2
    • Arson 1
    • Burglary 1
  2. Dakota Crow  (age 24 from Cave Junction)
    • Felony Murder x2
    • Arson 1
    • Burglary 1
  3. Kenny Webb (age 35 from Cave Junction)
    • Aggravated Murder x2
    • Arson 1
    • Burglary 1
  4. Richard Webb (age 37 from Cave Junction)
    • Aggravated Murder x2
    • Arson 1
    • Burglary 1

Kenny and Richard Webb are brothers and all involved were believed to have been friends with the deceased. Below is the original released information.

On January 15, 2019, emergency personnel responded to a structure fire at 150 East River St. in Cave Junction.

Emergency personnel located Donald Thomas (65) deceased inside the structure.
Oregon State Police Major Crimes and Arson Detectives are investigating.   A male was seen igniting and throwing a flare at the residence.  Anyone with information related to this fatal fire is requested to contact the Oregon State Police Dispatch at 1-800-442-2068 or OSP and reference case #SP19-017772
