Attempted Kidnap Suspect Pleads To 100 Months

On March 22nd, 2018 Robert Friesen pled guilty to Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree and Attempted Kidnapping in the First Degree in Washington County Circuit Court.

In June of 2017, Beaverton Police investigated the attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in the 5800 block of SW Erickson Ave. In September of 2017, detectives arrested and charged Mr. Friesen with Attempted Kidnapping in the First Degree, Menacing and Unlawful Use Of A Weapon.

Evidence collected during the course of our investigation helped link Mr. Friesen to a sexual assault which occurred in unincorporated Washington County in May 2017. Mr. Friesen's victim in this case was a 25-year-old woman and occurred in the 5000 block of SW 173rd Ave.

Mr. Friesen was sentenced to 100 months in prison, 20 years of post-prison supervision and sex offender registry for the Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree. Mr. Friesen was sentenced to 34 months and 3 years of post-prison supervision for the Attempted Kidnapping in the First Degree.
