Idaho Fugitive Flees During Domestic Disturbance - Captured by K9

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office - 05/31/18

On Thursday, May 31st, 2018, at 1:30PM, Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in progress at the Five Pines Lodge and Conference Center in the City of Sisters. A Deputy arrived and contacted Baily J. Redwing to investigate the disturbance. During the initial investigation, it was determined that Redwing had outstanding arrest warrants in Kootenai County, Idaho. The Deputy began to arrest Redwing for the outstanding warrants when he broke away from the Deputy and fled south towards the Sisters waste water treatment plant. The Deputy gave chase through the conference center until he lost sight of him.
Additional Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Deputies, Black Butte Ranch Police Officers and Oregon State Police Troopers converged on the Five Pines complex and contained the area before Redmond Police Officer Josh Powers and his K9 partner "Maverick" arrived. After about 10 minutes K9 "Maverick" located Redwing hiding in the tall grass adjacent to the waster water holding ponds. Redwing was arrested without further incident.
Redwing was transported and lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail.
