Vehicle 1 was eastbound on SE Oak. Vehicle 2 was northbound on SE Stephens. Vehicle 1 failed to stop for a red traffic signal and entered the intersection where it collided with the left side of Vehicle 2. Driver 1 driver stated she looked down for a moment and did not realize the signal had changed. Two independent witnesses stated Driver 1’s traffic signal was red.
Vehicle 2 Passenger Finney was transported to Mercy by ambulance due to complaints of pain. Vehicle 1 sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene. Vehicle 2 sustained minor damage to the left side and was drivable.
