Gresham Police Looking for Additional Burglary Victims

Gresham Police Dept - 09/27/18

Gresham, Ore.— Gresham Police have made two arrests for several commercial burglaries and detectives believe there may be additional victims. On Sept. 26, detectives arrested 32-year-old Tyson Proffitt, of Gresham and 27-year-old Thelma Louise Moss, of Gresham for multiple commercial burglaries committed in both Gresham and Portland. The burglaries were dated throughout the summer and were completed in a distinctive way.

Proffitt and Moss would enter the business during business hours. Proffitt would distract the employee while Moss removed the door’s alarm sensor. Within the next several days, Proffitt would return and break into the building. He would then use a power tool to open the cash register, safe, and/or ATM machine.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims. They are asking that any possible victims review their video surveillance prior to the burglary and determine if Proffitt and Moss had been in their business.

Anyone who thinks they have been the victim of this type of burglary is asked to call Detective Tony Cobb at 503.618.2365
