Death Investigation downtown Bend

Bend Police Dept. - 12/17/18

On December 16th at 2:45am, officer with the Bend Police Department responded to a parking lot on the SE corner of NW Newport and NW Wall Street for the report of a person found on the ground. A community member found a person on the ground in the parking lot, who was later determined to be deceased. Bend Police Detectives responded and have been investigating this incident since early morning of December 16th. It was determined very early in the investigation that there was no threat to the community.

This investigation is currently ongoing.
