Missing Azalea Man Found Deceased

UPDATE 

Azalea, Ore. - After three days of extensive ground searching in steep terrain, the body of Terry Dodds was located by search crews on Saturday at about 1:20 pm. Dodds was located approximately 200 meters from his vehicle over an embankment in thick reprod and brush.
The Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting a death investigation and next of kin has been notified.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Jackson and Josephine County Search and Rescue personnel.

Azalea, Ore. - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was notified at 9:50 am, Thursday, December 20, 2018, that Terry Dodds' dog had been located by loggers. The loggers brought the dog to Dodds residence, not knowing anything about the missing person report. Dodds' family reported the information to the Sheriff's Office. Search Deputies and Volunteers were dispatched to the area. 

At approximately 10:16 am, one of the loggers located Dodds' vehicle on Wildcat Road off of Eakin Road. The vehicle is located on a spur road and appears to have slid off of the roadway and into a ditch. Mr. Dodds is not in or immediately around the vehicle.
Search and Rescue resources are currently in the area searching for Mr. Dodds.

ORIGINAL INFORMATION  
79 year-old Terry Leland Dodds left his residence on Azalea Glen Road in Glendale on December 8th at approximately 8:00 pm in a maroon 2004 Dodge 2500 pickup with a canopy/camper bearing Oregon license plate D65290. Dodds suffers from a medical issue which may leave him in a confused state of mind. He is traveling with a small tan dog as pictured in the attached photograph and may be traveling to an unknown destination in California. Dodds is described as 6'02'' tall, 180 lbs with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket.
