Tigard Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle

Just before 5 p.m. on Monday, December 17, a pedestrian attempting to cross Hall Blvd. in Tigard was struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred in the area of a Fanno Creek Trail pedestrian crossing spanning Hall Blvd., just south of Tigard City Hall.The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to OHSU. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The incident closed Hall Blvd. to traffic in both directions during the peak of rush hour traffic. TVF&R arrived with Tigard Police officers and provided emergency medical care to the victim. Police have not been able to confirm the identity of the man as he was not carrying any identification. Darkness and heavy rain at the time of the crash was reported.
