Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) - 01/31/19

On Tuesday, January 29th, 2019, Roseburg Police arrested 28 year old Andrew Jon McNeil of Roseburg after a short pursuit that ended in a north Roseburg neighborhood near Broad Street.  McNeil ditched his vehicle at the top of Mercy Hills Drive, then fled on foot through the neighborhood.  He was captured a short distance away, attempting to hide in the crawl space under a residence in the 100 block of Pawnee Court.  McNeil was arrested by the Roseburg Police Department and lodged at the Douglas County Jail on several charges related to the pursuit.

On Wednesday evening (01/30/2019) the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) executed a search warrant on the residence where McNeil has been living, in the 3,000 block of Hooker Road in Roseburg.  A search of the residence revealed over 2 ounces of heroin, a handgun, a large amount of US currency, and other drug paraphernalia.

McNeil remains lodged at the Douglas County Jail, where additional charges have been added to include:

  • Unlawful Possession of Heroin
  • Unlawful Delivery of Heroin
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Two ounces is a relatively large amount of heroin as a typical dose is very small.  two ounces would contain approximately 560 doses of heroin, also known as a "Point".  Currently one dose sells for approximately $15-$20 locally.
