On Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 3:02 A.M., two North Precinct officers were in the area of Northeast 79th Avenue and Northeast Sandy Boulevard on a call of a suspicious person possibly casing cars. An officer witnessed a 1999 Toyota Camry driving with no headlights accelerating towards the other officer's car from behind. The Camry struck the police vehicle, causing significant damage. The officer was not seriously hurt. The driver and passenger in the Camry suffered minor injuries. The driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Officers conducted a crash investigation and determined the driver of the Camry was impaired. Forty-year-old Jeremy J.
