Elkton Man Arrested on Sex Abuse Charges

After an ongoing investigation, an Elkton man has been arrested in connection with numerous sexual assaults and incidents of harassment, which took place in Elkton, Oregon. 

The investigation began after two women came forward to report that they had been inappropriately touched numerous times over the course of their high school years by 49 year-old Elkton resident James Bryce Carnes. The allegations took place from 2013 - 2016 at his residence.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, deputies contacted Carnes at his residence. Carnes was arrested and lodged in the Douglas County Jail on the charges of Sex Abuse 3 (multiple counts) and Harassment (multiple counts).
