UPDATE- Single Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy 101 - Coos County

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at approximately 9:45 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 milepost 223 near Lakeside.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a Ford pickup was traveling on Hwy 101 when for unknown reasons left the roadway and rolled.
The operator, and lone occupant, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver is identified as Joey Vandenhey (60) of Lakeside, OR.
OSP was assisted by Lower Umpqua Ambulance, North Bend Chapel, and the Coos County Sheriff's Office.
