Police Seek Public's Help to Identify Suspicious Person

Gresham Police Dept

Gresham, Ore.— Yesterday at approximately 6:15 p.m. an 11-year-old female was walking her dog on the westside of NE 162nd AVE near NE Hoyt ST. At this time, a dirty blue, 4 door Dodge pick-up truck with a blue canopy, drove along side of her. The driver offered the female “treats” for her and her dog if she would get inside of the truck. The vigilant juvenile declined the subject’s offer, ran back to her home and alerted family members who called police.

The subject was described as a white male, 60 – 70 years of age, with light colored straight shoulder length hair. He was clean shaven and had a black eye patch over his left eye. The subject was wearing a black and grey flannel shirt. The subject left the area in an unknown direction of travel.

This is a good reminder for parents to talk to their children about what to do when confronted with this type of situation.

If anyone has any knowledge of this suspicious person, you are encouraged to contact the Gresham Police Department.
