Two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 199 - Josephine County

Preliminary investigation revealed that a black Toyota Prius, operated by Keith Jones (69) of Crescent City, CA , was traveling southbound on Hwy 199 when it collided with a red Toyota Prius, operated by Carol Worden (64) of Grants Pass, which was traveling northbound on Hwy 199.
Both drivers were transported to Three Rivers Hospital.
Jones was pronounced deceased at the hospital and it is believed he experienced a medical emergency before the crash. Jones' dog also died as a result of the crash.
OSP was assisted by ODOT.
On Friday, June 7, 2019 at approximately 7:08 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Hwy 199 near milepost 8.5.
