Missing Person Recovery

On July 6th, 2019 at approximately 2:05 pm, Fire personnel and deputies responded to Schroeder Park after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a possible deceased human body in the Rogue River.
After a brief search, Angelo’s body was located by the deputies about 20’ from shore. He was pulled from the water and positively identified by the deputy investigating the initial case. Next of kin was notified.
The case has been referred to the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Officer for review/investigation.
On July 2nd, 2019 at approximately 3:42 pm, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of Schroeder Lane for a missing person report. The grandmother of Angelo Cornoni reported he left her residence on July 2nd, 2019 at approximately 1:00 am and had not been seen since.
Efforts to locate Cornoni by patrol, the marine deputy, and search and rescue were unsuccessful.
