Counterfeit Fraud Investigations

Over the last few weeks there has been a rash of counterfeit bills being passed at several Grants Pass businesses. Grants Pass Detectives obtained information that the source of the counterfeit manufacturing was at 725 SW Burgess Street, Grants Pass Oregon. Grants Pass Detectives made contact at 725 SW Burgess Street and after a subsequent investigation, Detectives were able to obtain evidence that counterfeit bills were being manufacturing in the garage of the residence.  The following individuals were taken into custody on various charges.


Alan Dole was arrested on the following charges:
Forgery 1, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Conspiracy and Probation Violation. Lodged at Josephine County Jail.


James Mongold was arrested on the following charges:
Forgery 1, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device. Lodged at Josephine County Jail.


James King II was arrested on the following charges:
Forgery 1, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device and Conspiracy. Lodged at the Josephine County Jail.


Lakicia Goree was arrested on the following charges:
Forgery 1, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Conspiracy. Goree was not transported due to medical conditions, and her charges are being referred to the DA’s Office.


Crystal Thomas was arrested on the following charges:
Forgery 1, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1, Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Conspiracy and Probation Violation. Lodged at Josephine County Jail.


Valerie Mongold was arrested on the following charges:
Conspiracy and Possession of Methamphetamine. Lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
