Single Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy 99 - Jackson County

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Mazda, operated by Dakota Arthur (23) of Medford, was northbound at a high rate of speed when it slid sideways into a power pole.
Arthur sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The passenger, Danielle Ramirez (24) of Medford, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
OSP was assisted by Phoenix Police Department, Talent Police Department, Medford Fire Department, and ODOT.
On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at approximately 5:47 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 99 milepost 10.5 near Phoenix, OR.
