Washington County WIN Investigators Seize Cash and Drugs

On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 7:20 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) investigators executed a search warrant in the 700 block of SE 10th Avenue, in Hillsboro. At approximately 8:25 pm, investigators served a second search warrant in the 12000 block of SW Allen Blvd, in Beaverton. Both search warrants were the result of a single investigation.

Investigators located and seized 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine and 1 ounce of cocaine in the Hillsboro apartment, and an additional 4 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately $6,000 in cash at the Beaverton apartment. Further investigation led to the seizure of an additional $11,000 from bank accounts. The estimated street value of drugs removed from distribution is over $16,000.

The suspect, 29-year-old Marcos Ramos-Angel, of Hillsboro, was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, for both cocaine and methamphetamine. He was booked into the Washington County Jail and is being held on $50,000 bail.

WIN is a multi-agency team and includes members from the following agencies: Beaverton Police Department, Hillsboro Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon National Guard, Federal Bureau of Investigations, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Washington County is a designated High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) county. The Oregon-Idaho HIDTA Program assists the WIN team and all of its participating agencies.
