Oregon State Police Requesting Public's Assistance with sex abuse case in Douglas County

Oregon State Police 

On March 1, 2020 an Oregon State Police Trooper conducted a traffic stop in the area of Glide in Douglas County. The Trooper contacted the driver, Brandyn Olinger (21) of Winston, and a 15 year old female passenger.  The Trooper contacted the mother of the 15 year old and determined she did not have permission to be with Olinger.  The mother came and picked up the 15 year old from the traffic stop.

Oregon State Police Detectives followed up and based on the information learned during the investigation a search warrant was granted for Olinger’s vehicle and residence. 

On March 10, 2020  the Oregon State Police, assisted by the Winston Police Department, served a search warrant at Olingers residence in Winston. 

Several electronic items were seized and Olinger was placed into custody for ORS 163.670 Using child in display of sexually explicit conduct, ORS 163.686 Encouraging child sexual abuse in the second degree, ORS 163.684 Encouraging child sexual abuse in the first degree, ORS 163.433 Online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree to include, and ORS 162.295 Tampering with physical evidence. 

Olinger was lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
