Sex Offense Investigation leading to an arrest

On 03-02-2020, detectives with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety conducted an investigation into a adult male luring a juvenile via a social media platform. During the investigation, it was determined Octavio Virrueta from Vancouver Washington invited a juvenile to a local motel in Grants Pass for the purpose of having sexual contact. Virrueta also exchanged illicit photographs with the juvenile, which were sexual in nature. Detectives with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety were able to locate and arrest Virrueta at a local motel on the above listed charges. Virrueta was lodged at the Josephine County Jail. Virrueta was in the Rogue Valley for business and does not reside in this area.
