Unidentified Body Located in South Umpqua River

ROSEBURG, Ore. - An unidentified deceased male was found in the South Umpqua River near Templin Beach on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
Dispatchers were notified regarding the body on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm. The caller reported he located the body while fishing.
Deputies from the Sheriff's Office Marine Division responded along with the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office. The remains are that of an adult male, and are pending positive identification from the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.
