Meth Arrest

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team

On Sunday evening, June 14th, 2020, at approximately 11:15 PM, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested a 34 year old man from Harbor City, California in relation to a large scale drug investigation.

DINT has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the activities of Wesley Gutierrez, who does not live in this area, but has been traveling to Roseburg in recent weeks.  Detectives contacted Gutierrez in the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue in Roseburg.  Detectives executed a search warrant that revealed a little more than 8 pounds of methamphetamine.

Gutierrez was arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail.  He is currently charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine.  The investigation is ongoing and more charges are likely.

8 pounds is an extremely large amount of methamphetamine.  The average user only uses approximately 1 gram.  DINT seized over 3,700 grams of methamphetamine in this case.
