On Friday, August 7, 2020 at approximately 1800 hrs. Detectives assigned to the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team, along with assistance from the Bend Police Department, contacted and arrested Jimmie Ginn on the below listed charges.

The arrest of Ginn was the result of a short-term drug investigation by the CODE team into the illegal trafficking of commercial quantities of methamphetamine by Ginn throughout the Deschutes County region.  The investigation revealed that Ginn would travel outside the area and purchase large quantities of methamphetamine. He would then return to Deschutes County and sell the drugs for profit.  On this date, law enforcement surveillance teams monitored Ginn’s activities, which included him conducting drug sales.  At approximately 1800 hrs. Ginn was contacted on a traffic stop in which he was the driver of a brown in color Dodge Durango.  Ginn was taken into custody at this time.  During a search of Ginn’s vehicle approximately 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine was located, some of which was individually packaged for sale and concealed inside the vehicle with the remainder of the methamphetamine concealed within the engine compartment.  Additional evidence of the sales and distribution of methamphetamine were located inside the vehicle, which included a large sum of cash.

Ginn was lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail on the below listed charges.
