Tigard Police Seeking Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

 Tigard Police

Tigard Police detectives are asking for your help in identifying a robbery suspect.

Just before 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3rd, a man came up to the jewelry counter in Macy’s at the Washington Square Mall, smashed a glass case and ran off with more than two dozen gold necklaces. The combined value of the stolen jewelry is estimated at more than $30,000.

A jewelry counter employee described the man as white and approximately 6 feet tall, with an average build and blonde hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, a baseball hat and a black mask with white writing on it.

An employee followed the man as he ran out of the store and toward a parking structure. The suspect told the employee he had a friend in the car with a gun. The employee stopped giving chase and nobody was hurt.

Detectives are releasing surveillance video (https://youtu.be/p1FjjVN0E6Q) and several still images of the suspect in hopes that someone recognizes the man, or the clothing he was wearing.
