Lebanon Man Arrested on Sex Charges

On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at approximately 12:29 PM, Lebanon Police Department officers arrested Lebanon resident Cody Lamar Baker (DOB 03/20/2001) for multiple sex crimes related to inappropriate contact with an underage female. Baker was taken into custody at the Lebanon Justice Center without incident.

Baker was charged with Rape in the Third Degree, Sodomy in the Third Degree, Sex Abuse in the Second Degree, Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor, Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the Second Degree, and Tampering with Evidence. Baker was transported to the Linn County Jail, where he was lodged on these charges.

 

           

 Baker’s arrest is the result of an investigation that stemmed from a report that he had inappropriate contact with an identified, underage female subject who was known to Baker. The alleged crimes took place at several locations within the city limits of Lebanon. At this time, the Lebanon Police Department is not aware of any other victims related to this case.

The Lebanon Police Department has had several prior contacts with Baker; however, he has not been the subject of any other criminal investigation with the Lebanon Police Department.
