UPDATE ON YESTERDAY'S SHOOTING

North Bend Police Department


This is an update from the press conference from yesterday afternoon pertaining to the events in North Bend, Oregon on Friday, June 18, 2021. That press conference can be viewed at https://bit.ly/3vKLoYo


We are able to publicly release the identities of three of the injured or deceased.

 

The deceased found at the Herbal Choices Marijuana Dispensary is identified as 47 year old Coos Bay resident Jennifer L. Davidson.


The persons from the hit and run incident at the RV Park at the Mill Casino are a married couple and are identified as:


The deceased is identified as 74 year old Florida resident Anthony Oyster; and


The injured person is identified as 73 year old Florida resident Linda Oyster. Ms. Oyster was transported to River Bend Hospital in Springfield. At last report this morning she remains in critical condition.


We are not able to release the identity of the person found deceased in a travel trailer at the Mill Casino RV park as we have not been able to notify that person’s next of kin. 


The manhunt yesterday in Lane County was not successful in locating the suspect in these crimes. We would like to extend our thanks to Lane County Law Enforcement for their efforts yesterday in attempting to locate this individual.


We have not been able to identify the name and other pertinent information of the suspect in this case. Photos of the suspect are available on the City of North Bend Facebook page. His current whereabouts are unknown. This individual must be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees this person should not contact him and should immediately call 911.


Investigators are continuing to work the case. Agencies that have been assisting in this case include: Oregon State Police, Oregon State Police Forensic Laboratory in Springfield, Oregon, Coos Bay Police Department, Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Coquille Tribal Police, Confederated Tribal Police, Coquille Police Department, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration law enforcement who assisted with scene security, the Coos County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Coos County District Attorney’s Office. Personnel from the Oregon Department of Justice are expected to join in the investigation today. The North Bend Police Department is the lead agency for this investigation.
