VEHICLE THEFT SUSPECT SHOT

LCSO #21-4549 – Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

On 08/14/2021 shortly after 8:00am deputies responded to the 11300blk of E. Mapleton Rd. after receiving report that an unknown male was trying to steal a motorcycle from the location. A resident confronted the male with a handgun.  The male was shot in the leg before deputies could arrive.  Once on scene, deputies and medical personnel were able to detain and stabilize the male for transport to an area hospital. 

The male was identified as 25 year old Michael Wayne Vincent.  His condition is currently unknown.  This investigation is still in early stages and additional details will be released when they become available.
