MANUFACTURED HOME BURNS IN SHADOW RANCH MOBILE PARK

Douglas Co. Fire Dist. No.2

At 10:25 a.m. on October 27, firefighters with Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Roseburg Fire Department responded to 822 Shadow Ranch Ln. for a reported home on fire.  Several callers to 911 reported a home on fire where two elderly people live. Initial reports were it was unknown if they were inside or not.   A Fire District No. 2 crew arrived to find a double wide manufactured home with heavy fire and smoke showing through the roof. 

The initial crews made an aggressive interior attack and primary search of the home looking for any victims.  Nobody was located inside the home and crews worked to fully extinguish the fire.  Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to other nearby homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Roseburg Fire Department responded to the incident with 19 firefighters including four fire engines, two ambulances, and three command vehicles.
