OREGON STATE POLICE FISH & WILDLIFE SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN BUCK POACHING CASE- LANE COUNTY

On December 9, 2021, at approximately 7:00 P.M., Troopers from the Springfield Patrol Office responded to a report of a buck deer unlawfully killed near Upper Camp Creek Road in Springfield. 

It was reported that a white male described as 5’1” tall with brown hair and a brown beard was witnessed cutting off the head of the buck.  The male fled in a late 90’s white Chevrolet flatbed diesel pickup.  The deer was donated to a local church.

The Oregon Hunters Association TIP reward offers preference points or cash rewards for information leading to an arrest or issuance of a citation for the unlawful take/possession or waste of Bighorn Sheep, Rocky Mountain Goat, Moose, Elk, Deer, Antelope, Bear, Cougar, Wolf, Upland Birds, Waterfowl, Fur

bearers, Game Fish and Shellfish. Cash rewards can also be awarded for turning in people who destroy habitat, illegally obtain licenses/tags, and for the unlawful lending/borrowing of big game tags.
