METH ARREST

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT)

On Thursday, March 17th, 2022, detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested two men on drug trafficking charges.

DINT detectives contacted two men in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of Gazely Bridge Road, in Canyonville.  The men were detained in relation to an ongoing investigation.  Drug detection K-9 “Trapper” sniffed the area around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics coming from inside.

A search of the vehicle revealed almost 6 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, which is a very large amount.  40 year old Luis Pacheco-Lopez, of Medford, Oregon, and 22 year old Daniel Velarde-Medrano, of Huntington Park, California, were both lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine.
