THEFT FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE

Winston Police Department

 On March 30, 2022, at about 0730 hours, the Winston Police Department was dispatched to the new construction site of Douglas County Farmers Co-op, in regards to a theft of miscellaneous construction tools. The number of tools stolen have added up in value of over $3,000.00 dollars. The Winston Police Department is still actively investigating this incident. If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Winston Police Department in reference to case number 22-0303, 541-679-8706.

The Winston Police Department would like to take this time to make it known these incidents are happening more often. The people engaged in these activities are able to get through heavy locking devices and other measures taken by the property owners to protect their valuable items. The Winston Police Department is asking if you have trailers, cargo trailers, mobile construction site offices, to please put them in a well-lit area, with some type of security system or camera system.
