WINSTON MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH SATURDAY

WINSTON, Ore. - A single vehicle motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon resulted in the death of a Winston man.

On Saturday, April 23, 2022, shortly after 4:30pm, Douglas County 9-1-1 received a report of a single vehicle motorcycle crash in the 1000-block of Brockway Road in Winston. Deputies arrived and learned a Harley Davidson motorcycle, opterated by 41-year-old Michael David Poole of Winston, had been traveling on Brockway Road at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle lost control and left the roadway. Poole was declared deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office, Winston Police Department, Winston-Dillard Fire District and the Adapt Crisis Response Team.

Next of kin has been notified.
