Mark Allen Rockwell of Merlin Arrested For Online Sex Crimes

On June 9, 2022, Mark Allen Rockwell, 49, of Merlin, Oregon, began an inappropriate online communication with a juvenile female.  During the course of the conversation Rockwell agreed to meet with the juvenile in Myrtle Creek for sexual activity.  

On June 23, 2022 at about 6:30 PM, Rockwell was contacted by Myrtle Creek Police at Evergreen Park.  Following evidence collection and an interview, Rockwell was transported to the Douglas County Jail.  Rockwell was lodged on charges of First and Second Degree Online Sexual Corruption of a Child, and Luring a Minor.  

The Myrtle Creek Police Department was assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Sutherlin PD.
