DAYS CREEK MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH

DAYS CREEK, Ore. - A Days Creek man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash in the 7000-block of Days Creek Cutoff Road. 

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 4:15 am, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a single vehicle crash in the 7000-block of Days Creek Cutoff Road. It was reported the occupant of the vehicle was trapped and was approximately 150 feet down an embankment. 

The Sheriff's Office, along with fire and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. Deputies arrived and learned the driver, 57-year-old Steven Thomas Kremer of Days Creek, had crashed his vehicle at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022. Kremer's vehicle, a 2001 GMC Sonoma pickup, left the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled multiple times down the embankment. A neighbor heard Kremer yelling for help the next morning at the time of the 9-1-1 call. 

Fire and EMS personnel had to extricate Kremer from the vehicle in order to get him to the roadway to a waiting ambulance. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Kremer was later transferred from Mercy Medical Center to Sacred Heart at Riverbend for further care where he remains in critical condition.
