Help us congratulate Deputy Lovik for receiving the prestigious Life Saving Award

Benton County Sheriff's Office

"On August 3, 2022 Deputy Lovik responded to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Philomath Blvd. and SW 53rd Street in Corvallis. Deputy Lovik was first to the scene and located a single occupant, who was unconscious and not breathing. Deputy Lovik immediately retrieved an AED and used the device along with chest compressions to restore the male's heart rhythm. Deputy Lovik acted alone and without the assistance of on duty medics for the first several minutes. The male was later transported to the hospital where he remained in stable condition. Deputy Lovik's actions and willingness to respond without a doubt saved this man's life and allowed him to live another day. Deputy Lovik's selfless service, quick thinking and immediate response is commended"- AIC Captain Duffitt

"Deputy Lovik is a forward thinker and can make quick decisions. She is a role model to others and an asset to the Benton County Sheriff's Office"- Sgt. Bressler

Congratulations Deputy Lovik and thank you for your selfless service to the community!
