On September 14, 2022, at about 0400 hours, DINT conducted an operation in the 700 block of Garden Valley Boulevard, in Roseburg, Oregon. Detectives contacted an individual in the parking lot of a local business.

During the contact detectives deployed canine Trapper to the suspects vehicle, in which Trapper indicated the presence of controlled substances.

During a search of the vehicle detectives located approximately 15 ounces of “rainbow” fentanyl and 2 ounces methamphetamine. These controlled substances were all destined to the Douglas County area.

Multicolored fentanyl is a trend DINT and other drug teams in the state are seeing in our region. This fentanyl is often referred to as “rainbow fetty.” Fentanyl is a highly powerful synthetic opioid which has resulted in a significant increase in overdose cases in our community.

This investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be released at this time.

DINT was assisted by the Roseburg Police Department.
