Seeking the public’s help locating a missing and endangered man

Eugene Police has taken a report of a missing, endangered man and is seeking the public’s help in locating him.

At 6 p.m. on February 26, Douglas Arthur Carney, age 70, left his home at Avamere Riverpark, at 425 Alexander Loop. He left on his manual wheelchair without his medicine and has not been seen since that time. Carney requires several medications and without them will quickly decline. Although he is confined to a wheelchair, he can walk very short distances.

Carney is white,  5'05" tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has brown/grey long and thin/wispy hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a maroon sweater, green camo print pants.

He so far appears to be in the Eugene area, perhaps near Clark and Van Buren.  Carney has a history of visiting a location in the 1000 block of City view, as well as destinations in Creswell and Roseburg.

If anyone locates Carney they are asked to call 911.
