Gresham Police Investigating Homicide
Gresham, Ore.— The Gresham Police Department and the East County Major Crimes Team (MCT)
are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 500 block of SE 197th Ave. Officers received a 911 call at 7:23 a.m., noting a subject down on the sidewalk, bleeding. Officers, along with Gresham Fire, responded to the location and found the subject was deceased.
An autopsy performed at the State Medical Examiner's office determined, the victim Portland resident Michael Lashone Hatcher, 35, died of gun violence. This is an active investigation, and no further details are available at this time. Based on preliminary information, we do not believe there is a danger to the public.
