Gresham Police Dept

The Gresham Police Department is continuously working to keep the Gresham community safe. On April 24, officers discovered and seized a large quantity of dangerous fentanyl powder and pills, cash proceeds from drug sales, and illegally possessed weapons. Officers in our department are working tirelessly to deter crime in our city. The following highlights the critical work our department undertakes each and every day.

At about 3:30p.m., officers assigned to patrol responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of northeast Hood Ave., on a report that a maintenance employee in an apartment complex was threatened by a juvenile male with a gun. Officers arrived and attempted to stop 3 males they determined to be involved in the disturbance based on the description provided by the victim. After a short foot pursuit, all three were stopped and two non-serialized handguns, sometime referred to as “ghost guns,” were recovered. Emanual Castrejon, 18, of Gresham, was lodged at Multnomah County Jail on suspicion of Menacing in the First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. A 17-year-old male was Lodged at JDH on suspicion of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. A third juvenile was released from the scene to his parents.
