Elite Volleyball Academy Coach Arrested for Sexually Abusing Youth Athlete

Redmond, Oregon - On May 17, 2023, Redmond Police Department (RPD)officers arrested 22-year-old Zachary Anderson of Sister’s Oregon, following an investigation into a sexual relationship with a juvenile female. Mr. Anderson is a coach with a local private volleyball club, Elite Volleyball Academy, where he had access to his victim.  Mr. Anderson was arrested and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail for the following offenses: Sex Abuse II x 3, Sexual Misconduct x 3, and Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor x 3.     

RPD would like to acknowledge the strength the victim and her family have displayed reporting this case to law enforcement.  In the state of Oregon, it is unlawful and a felony offense for a coach or a teacher to engage in sexual conduct with one of their athletes or students.
